Additional Tips & Guide

Detergent (Top, Front Load, or Hand Wash)
Use a delicate detergent to wash your Sutra Silk products. One example is the TLC Delicate Wash detergent.
Important Washing Care
  • Wash silk products separately from heavy fabric items (e.g. jeans).
  • Wash dark and light colours separately.
  • Avoid alkaline-based and/or acidic detergent. Preferably, use liquid detergent for delicates.
  • Do not bleach silk product.
  • Do not scrub, brush, rub, twist or apply friction on the silk product especially when it is wet.
Drying
  • Do not tumble dry silk product in washing/dryer machine.
  • Do not wring silk product.
Ironing
  • Flip silk product inside out, where possible (e.g. pillowcase, bolster case, bonnet, garments etc).
  • Iron your silk at low temperature (most electronic irons have a silk setting).
  • To smoothen out wrinkles easily, iron whilst damp (inside out, at low temperature).
  • Iron on dull side of silk product, where possible.
  • Ironing helps to soften silk products in the event they harden after washing.
